There are some little luxuries that I take in my life.
My husband jokingly calls me a snob... But hey I'm a woman who knows what she wants and what she likes! Haha... My excuse for being snobby? I'm English, duh! I digress...
I feel like it makes a difference in the every-day, or when I travel...
Blame it on The Simply Luxurious Life Blog, but I think I (and we) deserve it.
Personal Care:
I love Clinique. I have found that it's the best thing for my skin... Even though I am a student on a budget (yes my husband is done with school but with a University education comes student loans) I always dish out the extra dough for a line that makes me feel happy to use.
Michael Kors Leg Shine. This stuff rocks. Even though I have a perpetual arctic tan, this stuff still works on me. It's little bit of a scent and shiny application makes this a win win for my gams.
Gel manicure. I get a gel manicure every 3 weeks... I have put a DIY system on my Christmas list... I hate chipped nails. I have a real problem with them on me... It may be my perfectionist nature, but one chip makes me either redo the whole nail, hand, or all nails. A gel manicure is an answer to my prayers.
I love my hair. And my hairdryer... I buy an expensive hairdryer so that my hair gets a lot of love and stays healthy. I bought this dryer at TJ Maxx for about $35, regularly $90. Win win for my wallet and my hair.
Body:
I am a ballet dancer. I've danced since I was 4... Why is this a luxury for me? Because I make it a priority to have good dance clothes and good dance shoes. The process of warming up at the bar, the sweat, the stretching, the strength and the beautiful lines... Ballet is something that makes me feel beautiful and strong.
Wearing:
I usually buy expensive denim. I have jeans from 3-4 years ago that are still in perfect condition because they are expensive and great material.
Flats. I wear flats a majority of the time... My favorite brands: Vince Camuto and Sam Edelman. The leather and soles are grade A and I wear them for a long long time. One day I will be able to afford Tory Burch or *sigh* Chanel... Lovely lovely things.
Diamonds. I wear my engagement and wedding band everyday. I love them, and I love looking at them. I also have a pair of diamond earrings that my husband bought me that I wear almost everyday. I don't save the 'good-stuff' for special occasions. I like to add a little glamour to my everyday.
Kitchen:
I love water. But my favorite is sparkling water. Specifically S. Pellegrino. The sparkling water and the chic green glass bottle makes it feel like I'm in Paris and living in luxury. Silly? Non. Cest la belle vie.
I drink freshly ground, freshly brewed coffee every morning. I love cleaning the coffee maker at night and getting it set up the night before... When I know what time I get up, I set it for a certain time and I love waking up to the smell of fresh coffee. Not only does it taste divine, but it smells even better.
Travel:
When I travel trans-Atlantic I go Virgin Atlantic only. This is the airline for me. Roomy seats, better food, excellent flight attendants... Paying a little bit extra for awesome comfort on the flight? No brainer. I'm on a flight for 14 hours... My comfort is very important.
When I travel trans-continental I only fly Delta. I have had the best experiences with this airline and the service they provide. For quick flights this is the airline I always go with. I love them!
What are your little luxuries?
