Walking Wounded

Hi all, I'm Lucy and I have a mystery illness...
Not really illness, more like injury. I went to the doctor today because I was having pain in my left thigh for NO REASON! So I got checked out and my sciatic nerve is swollen. Like so swollen my doctor told me I should be taking muscle relaxers, pain killers, and anti-inflammitories. Oh yeah, he wanted to give me some sort of muscular injection and I declined, scary!! Now I work in the pharmacy industry but I myself rarely take anything unless its bad... And my friends... It's BAD!! So I decided to take my ibuprofen and go on my way... So hopefully it gets better, soon... Fingers crossed.

On another note, I am kind of obsessing right now over the bombshell clothing style that is synonymous with the 40's and 50's!!! I love the look and the care that women of that time put into there everyday wear: the stockings, matching lingerie sets, belted waists, and perfected hair.

Feminine Bombshell, Eva Mendes

The lady bringing the 40's and 50's back, famous burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese

THE woman who made her size 12 figure super famous, the fabulous Marylin Monroe

This is a page scanned from the Lucky Guide to Mastering Any Style (published in 2008) that focuses a chapter on the style of Bombshell... And these are the shoes that they would pair with this style... So SO cute... I would want to own any of them!

Alright lovies, tomorrow is FRIDAY!!! See you all for Fashion Friday tomorrow!! :)

Love, Lucy XO

Oh Lucy...I do hope you get to feeling better soon! Try to get plenty of rest off of your leg this weekend!

I also love the ultra-feminine styles of the 40's and 50's. I wish women took that much care of themselves and their appearances these days. The disheveled look that is so popular these days is very unbecoming, IMO.
