(4) InStyle: February 2010

Verdict?: Buy It

Why?...
First of all the cover is lovely. I love the iridescence of the title going from pink to lavender to blue, then going back through to pink. And do I even have to say that Heidi Klum looks just beautiful. (Sorry no picture for this cover, I couldn't find any image online!).

Let start with the what's NOW! section in the magazine, a section I personally skip a lot, but this time something caught my eye... the words Michael Kors for Estee Lauder! I love Michael Kors (MK) and I love Estee Lauder, YAY! As we have seen, magazine Readers, MK has a perfums called Hollywood, now he is creating a makeup line to match! The makeup line is based off of the Hotel Bel Air in Hollywood! And MK's must have? Hollywood Gold Gloss! Yay, I love LOVE lipgloss.

The next section that held my attention GRAMMY insider the Best on Record. With the opening group of women: Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, and Nelly Furtado. All of the outfits that are featured in this section are from Grammy's of years past back to 2002. My favorite page wass the different faces of Lady Gaga, she has had some pretty spectacular getups.

Next up? All About Pants, this months Instant Style section. Going from day to night in styles like flat front trousers, wide leg, and tie waste.

your LOOK focuses on Play Up Your Assets! A topic that I love reading in magazines, for some this might make some readers want to skip this magazine because there are always some tips repeated time and time again, but I love it.

The beauty section in InStyle never fails. This month is a section called Anti-Aging Secrets for Your Skin Tone, and each skintone has its description of your skins normal reaction to the sun and how your skin will age. And each section has a daily regimen to follow including cleanser, night cream, daily SPF etc. Everything you could possibly need to have beautiful skin daily.

One topic, SJP gives her beauty talk including must-haves! But I would say you need to check it out yourself. SJP has her quirky way with makeup and beauty tips, shes just so lovely.

Last but not least, we 'sit prettty' with Christie Brinkley and her mix of style at home. I love that she has a vast style of floral and hippie comfy prints in her home. Everything looks worn in but still pretty, her term for that was that she want's every room to be loved. Which I think is just lovely in a home, and something that I want in my home in the future.

The Girl in the Pink Scarf says...
... Buy this edition if you want a variety of things to look at, from pretty pinks and pastels to blues and tans this edition is full colorful clothes and under-wear to choose from for Valentines day.
